About Us

I had the chance to study abroad for 3 weeks in Matsuyama, Japan in 2013. My group studied nuclear physics and Japanese culture as part of the program. The experience brought me many friends and true appreciation for the wonders of the world I've yet to see. I evolved to be a better version of myself after this trip. The omotenashi (whole-hearted hospitality in Japanese) I received in Japan set the foundation for me to think about giving back to others. From then on, the idea of helping other college students to have a life-changing study abroad trip lingered in my mind.

While I didn't study abroad during college, it's something I had always wanted to do and regretted not prioritizing during my education. So to make up for that I took a gap year a couple of years after graduating to travel the world. It was transformative but, of course, wasn't the same as going abroad with fellow students and experiencing a place through the lense of student life. This is one reason I'm passionate about enabling other students to be able to have this incredible college experience, one that will shape who you are for the rest of your life.
